Chris Ortiz - Stylist
Chris Ortiz, a clean cut, Texas guy from Arlington, loves everything plain, simple and straightforward, none of that crazy edgy stuff for him. He never knew he wanted to do hair until he figured out what he didn't want to do - a college life of studying and testing. His greatest hair mentor, the man who has cut Chris's hair for years, encouraged him to enroll in Ogle School of Cosmetology where he discovered a love for hair. He worked for Esoterica in downtown Fort Worth for a year before applying to Halo Salon & Color Lab. "The Halo Salon has such a good reputation," he says. "It's more of what I'm looking for in clientele and consistency." He is inspired by the simple things in life, but more so by the salon and it's solid clientele loyalty, making him want a career that builds relationships with clients. His favorite thing about the Halo Salon is that his best friend, JC Callado, is also an apprentice there and he loves bouncing ideas off of her and learning together.
